A coat, books and more papers. ( 2 Timothy 4:13)No justifications, no legal representation.
Any of those will be useless anyway.
Because no one could grasp the full scope of his calling and convictions.
He was just secure of himself and his God.
So Why did Paul ask for these 3 things ?
Coat - We need the loving, covering insulation to comfort our hearts when we are challenged by the demands placed on us as we run this race of faith.Paul was never too proud to ask for comfort for his life. He was a man of humility, acknowledging his human needs in life. (:
No matter to what extent we serve God, we cannot go on without the coat of encouragements and love. Do not be too quick to reject or tell yourself that you can run this race alone.
Books - We all should learn to be good to the last drop. Feed our minds, and keep learning. On the verge of dying, Paul did not succumb to death so easily. He clinged on to every moment he had to spend in prison, reading his last moments of life. As long as he is alive, he sees the need to learn.
5 mins is enough for us to pick up something. Cherish time, and make the best out of it by learning.
More papers - Do not let circumstances determine your relationship with God.Paul's circumstance in the prison is not exactly the best place to have the peace of mind to jot down all his revelations and life lessons. But he did it anyway.
Good to the last drop!
These 3 things lasted his final hours of his race for God.
He finished his fight, completed his race with a coat, books and papers.
How beautiful!
i love my God <3
